PRP

Microneedling With PRP

PRP is a product from the patient's own blood that is collected with a simple lab draw. The blood is spun down into a centrifuge separating the plasma which is rich in platelets, growth factors, and cytokines. It is injected into the face with a microneedling pen which causes the areas of treatment to have a reduced appearance of pigmentation, acne scarring, pore size and fine lines. The growth factors found in PRP also activate cell migration and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. The combination of microneedling with PRP work synergistically which leads to more rapid collagen production.

Hair Restoration Using PRP Injections

PRP is a product from the patient's own blood that is collected with a simple lab draw. The blood is spun down into a centrifuge separating the plasma which is rich in platelets, growth factors, and cytokines. PRP injections can be effective in treating hair loss by using the growth factors to stimulate regeneration and tissue regrowth. When it comes to hair loss, the theory is that platelets, injected deep into the scalp to reach the bottom of the hair follicle, may stimulate a specialized population of cells named dermal papilla cells, which play a critical role in hair growth.
