Laser Genesis

Laser Genesis is a non-ablative, Nd: YAG 1064nm laser used to treat the dermis – the middle layer of skin. In simpler terms, Laser Genesis does not wound the skin. Instead, it works by penetrating the top layer of skin and delivering thousands of micro-pulses of light to the dermis. These micro-pulses heat up the dermis, and the warming action shrinks blood vessels, breaks down scar tissue and stimulates collagen production. Laser Genesis leaves your skin free of scars, broken blood vessels and redness, with the added benefit of naturally increased collagen production.

Laser Genesis simultaneously creates a restorative and rejuvenating skin transformation, with results that include:

  • Permanent removal of scars – Laser Genesis has given new hope to patients who thought they would simply have to live with their scars forever.

  • Relief from severe redness, also known as rosacea – Patients may have tried to conceal their rosacea with topical treatments and makeup, without success. Laser Genesis decreases redness, eliminates broken blood vessels, and restores even coloration to the skin.

  • A rejuvenating boost of collagen – Laser Genesis stimulates collagen production. As we age, our skin begins to decrease its production of collagen. The lack of collagen gives our skin a lackluster, saggy, aging appearance. But Laser Genesis counteracts the aging process by promoting cell renewal within the dermis, thus reducing fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, and irregular texture. Hello youthful, radiant, skin!

How Does Laser Genesis work?

By stimulating collagen regrowth Laser Genesis effectively reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, tightens pores, reduces oil production, improves overall tone and texture on the skin, gets rid of sun damage and helps to diminish any redness on the skin. Laser Genesis works by gently heating the dermis, which is located below the skin’s surface. Patients often find the treatment very soothing, as there is zero discomfort involved.

How Do I Know if Laser Genesis is Right For Me?

Women and men of all skin types are good candidates for Laser Genesis. Patients choose Laser Genesis because they want to eliminate scars, acne scars, large pores, areas of significant redness (rosacea), or broken capillaries on their face, hands, or chest.

What It Feel Like?

Most patients describe the sensation of Laser Genesis to be like the warm sun touching their face. Relaxing and without any pain or discomfort at all, this procedure is very much the equivalent of a calming facial—with far more benefits of course. A handheld device moves back and forth across the skin creating a sensation of warmth. Stimulating collagen growth, Laser Genesis has proven incredibly effective for treating a broad range of skin complexion issues.

What Are the Benefits?

Beyond a firmer, tighter, and more even complexion, this procedure has been used to treat sunspots and lessen the size of pores. It has also been greatly beneficial for addressing chronic conditions such as rosacea as well as helping to diminish the effects of acne scarring and discoloration.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

The number and frequency of treatments will depend upon your skin type, any problems that you may be experiencing and the desired results. Usually, clients have a series of 3-6 treatments spaced about a month apart before they start noticing the results. But when the results do take effect, you will notice a dramatically smoother skin surface, a glowing skin tone and a radiantly more youthful looking complexion overall. Each patient is different, so it is important to schedule a consultation to find out precisely what you will need and how many Laser Genesis treatments may be required.
